Nelida Tirado, one of the original perfomers for Bailando Por Una Causa in 2010, is coming back after a one year hiatus and our attendees couldn’t be happier.

Nelida, recently hailed as “ magnificent” by the New York Times is known for her intense grace, and powerful style. This is what has attracted the attention of other dancers, critics and non-dancers alike causing critics to single her out time and again in her appearances at the Joyce Theater, Jacobs Pillow, Lincoln Center and Symphony Space. Ms. Tirado currently resides in NYC, was just awarded a grant from HarlemStage’s Fund for New Work, received the 2007 BRIO award for artistic excellence from Bronx Council of the Arts and was featured as Dance Magazines “25 to Watch” 2007.
